The Old House Village Hotel and Spa is located along the Courtenay River in the Comox Valley on Canada’s Vancouver Island. The property is divided into two buildings housing 31 deluxe studios, 45 one-bedroom suites, two two-bedroom suites, and one two-level penthouse suite.

The one and two bedroom suites feature a fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen, DVD player, sleeper sofa, and a soaking tub. Some suites also feature a spacious patio and a washer and dryer. Rooms are designed with a warm green and brown palette with wood and stone furnishings. The penthouse also features a dining room, Jacuzzi tub, and entertainment bar.

Guests can enjoy a great room, pool, hot tub, barbeque area, fitness center, and adjacent Courtenay River walking and biking trails. The Oh Spa offers massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. The onsite restaurant, Locals, offers fresh sustainably produced dishes utilizing ingredients from the Comox Valley.

Housed in the Comox Valley Heritage building on the property, the restaurant is an example of Courtenay’s Arts and Crafts architecture with a wood construction and masonry detailing. Menu highlights include a fish market chowder with candied salmon, Cortes Island gem oysters, Sockeye salmon, and crab cakes; bison carpaccio; shrimp and crab stack with sticky rice; jumbo prawns and scallop Thai curry; prosciutto-wrapped halibut; fennel-covered sablefish; and boullibase. A three-course dinner is offered with a choice of pork halibut or lamb for $54. Locals also serves lunch and a weekend brunch.
